Over 10,000 people flocked to Bluewater, Kent’s premium shopping and leisure venue, to watch the Christmas Lights Switch On.
Recent developments in Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology have enabled Trapeze Creative to utilise their amazing lighting effects when designing fabulous lighting features for retail environments.
To add to the festive feeling bright white LED lights were combined with giant ornate ornaments to create a dramatic Christmas chandelier for Bluewater.
From a design perspective, LEDs have many advantages over incandescent light sources, including their smaller size, intensity of illumination and ability to create spectacular effects.
Available in a variety of styles and shapes, colour changing LED lights have the ability to change through a spectrum of colours to create different moods with mind-blowing results. This is achieved by a controller mixing the Red, Green and Blue (RGB) LED lights in various combinations and percentages of intensity.
LEDs use 90% less electricity than traditional Christmas lights, reducing energy bills and the impact on the environment. The lamps do not get hot so they are safer to use as well as being durable and longer lasting.
These incredible lights can display spectacular effects with a variety of movements from twinkling to flashing, slow glow to waterfall effect.
High-intensity white light was specified to have 1 in 4 twinkling movement for Bluewater’s Ornamental Atrium Chandelier. Displayed in circular formations to complement the centre’s architecture and combined with shiny oversized multicoloured decorations for dramatic effect.
